Tuition rates vary by age and program. Please contact the center directly for more information.

Tuition Payment

Tuition is payable on a biweekly cycle and is paid in advance. Payments should be made on the first day the child attends in that biweekly cycle. Payments may be made in either building. There is a tuition box outside of the office in the main building where tuition may be placed or tuition may be handed to a director or coordinator. If you have questions about your tuition, please come to the office in the main building where the tuition payments are recorded. Past due notices will be issued if a biweekly payment is missed and should be taken care of promptly. Tuition in arrears cannot exceed the deposit given. Parents will be asked to withdraw or cut back on their child's schedule if the balance due is in excess of the deposit by more than 2 weeks. When more than one child from the same family is enrolled for seven or more hours a week on a regular basis, the older child will receive a 10% reduction in tuition. The Internal Revenue Service allows an income tax credit for child care.

Vacation Tuition Credit and Drop-in Times

Each child enrolled at Cradles to Crayons Child Center year round will be entitled to unlimited vacation time during the months of July and August. During the school year, there will be a holiday credit for any days that Cradles to Crayons Child Center is not in session. Cradles to Crayons Child Center will be happy to accept any registered student for additional "drop-in" time as long as space and staffing coverage permit. "Not regularly scheduled" tuition rates will be charged and added to the next tuition payment.

Enrollment

Registration Fee/Deposit

The initial registration fee is $30.00 and is not refundable. Re-registration of a currently enrolled student will be $20.00. The registration process is considered complete when the registration fee and the deposit have been paid. The deposit is not refundable and is applied to the last two weeks a child is enrolled in a session. Only when registration has been completed will the student's space be guaranteed.

Withdrawal

Two weeks' notice is required for withdrawal. Parents are responsible for tuition payment for that two-week period whether or not the child attends classes. If Cradles to Crayons Child Center finds it necessary to request the withdrawal of a student for any reason, the parents will be given a two-week notice period.

Enrollment Rates and Hours

All children are expected to arrive and depart according to their enrollment schedules. Should extra time be needed, arrangements should be made in advance if at all possible in order to ensure proper teacher-student ratios. If a student's enrollment schedule must be reduced for a lengthy period of time, two weeks' notice must be given in order for a tuition reduction. Tuition reductions cannot be made for just a week or two. There can be no substitutions for missed sessions. Any child remaining at the school after 5:30 p.m. will be charged a late fee of $10.00 every 15 minutes.

Sessions

There are two sessions at Cradles to Crayons Child Center. The school year session begins the day after Labor Day and ends the last day of June. The summer session is available during the months of July and August. It is not necessary for a child to be enrolled in both sessions. It is possible for a child to have different scheduling patterns for each of the sessions.

The school year session has a Preschool Nursery School Program available for children who will be three years old in December of that year. The children are usually divided into appropriate age groups including the Pre-K group, the Three/Four year old group, and the Three-year old group. There are eight children in the Under Three Program in the main building. The Infant-Toddler Program is housed in its own building. There are 16 children in the Infant-Toddler Program ranging in age from 3 months to 30 months. These children are divided into two smaller groups of eight children each.

The summer session has a Preschool Camp Program available to children 3 to 6 years of age. There are also an Infant-Toddler Program and a Twos Program for children 3 to 36 months. The summer session is generally 8 weeks long. Parents select the weeks they would like to enroll their child, and tuition is charged only for the weeks selected. Children may have unlimited vacation time without prejudice to their continued enrollment.

Enrollment Procedure

• Complete application for enrollment
• Submit registration fee (non-refundable)
• Obtain physician's certification of required immunizations and physical examination performed within the year.
